Who we are
PLH Genetics is a product of SIGNOS LLC, the legal entity operating this service. References to "PLH Genetics", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to SIGNOS LLC, 7345 W Sand Lake Rd, Ste 210 Office 7334, Orlando, FL 32819, USA.
Information we collect
We collect the information you provide directly: contact details, your uploaded genetic report, and clinical context relevant to the review you have requested. When you subscribe to our email updates or send us a message, we also record the email address you enter, the language and page you used, and the date, IP address, and browser of your request — this last part is kept as evidence that consent was given, as data protection law requires.
How we use information
We use your information to perform the scientific review you have requested, to communicate with you about it, and — only if you have confirmed your subscription — to send you patient guides and updates about genetic variant reclassification. We do not use your genetic report for marketing under any circumstances.
Analytics and advertising
This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how visitors find us and to measure our advertising. These services set cookies and may receive an identifier associated with your browser. You can accept or reject them from the cookie banner or from "Your privacy choices" in the footer, and the detail is set out in our Cookie Policy.
Email marketing
Our email list uses double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link we email you. Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe link and our postal address. Subscriber data is stored in our own database and mirrored to Resend, our email provider, which processes it on our behalf.
Data storage and security
Reports and personal data are stored using encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to the scientific team handling your case. Our infrastructure providers (Supabase for the database, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email, Stripe for payments) act as processors under contract.
Data retention
Genetic reports and case material are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a limited period afterwards so we can prove that consent existed and that your unsubscribe request was honoured.
Sharing
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may share information with your treating physician only at your explicit request, and with the service providers listed above strictly to operate the service.
Your rights
You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time by contacting us. If you are in California, you may also opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising — use "Your privacy choices" in the footer, or send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour automatically. If you are in Colombia, you hold the rights granted by Law 1581 of 2012 (habeas data), including knowing, updating, correcting, and revoking your authorisation.
